As we search for wildlife your National Park Service licensed guide will help you learn about the wonders of Yellowstone. Your tour will finish in early afternoon.
A hearty field breakfast, photography stops, and breaks for restrooms, sorry not heated, provide you with the chance to get out of the vehicle. Short walks away from the vehicle may be necessary for the best wildlife viewing. A hot spring dip might also complete your day in Yellowstone country if you desire!
A lunch stop in the cute town of Cooke City, population 50, will allow you to view the high mountain scenery of Northern Yellowstone as well as enjoy the luxury of a warm! restroom. Your guide will suggest several locations for you to purchase your meal.

from Big Sky
or Bozeman

From Big Sky or Bozeman your departure will be at 7 AM. You will follow the 200 year old Lewis and Clark Trail over Bozeman Pass to the eastern side of the Rocky Mountains. After traveling through beautiful Paradise Valley you will arrive at the North entrance to Yellowstone. We will take a coffee and restroom break at the Tumbleweed Café, home to Yellowstone’s best food. Please bring your lunch or purchase food at the Tumbleweed Café.
Next you will enter Yellowstone through the historic Roosevelt Arch. While searching for antelope and bighorn sheep your guide will help you understand the importance of Yellowstone in our world. After passing through Mammoth we will head for the meadows of Lamar Valley. If lucky wolves, bison, fox, golden or bald eagles, and much more will await our cameras and spotting scopes.
To maximize sightseeing time please plan for a field lunch. Your guide will stop at a convenient location with a field restroom. Your tour will return to Gardiner in the afternoon for a quick view of mysteriously beautiful Palette Springs. For driving safety you will head back to Big Sky or Bozeman to return before dark.

Your overall itinerary will be:

Day 01 Arrive Bozeman Airport and meet your guide. Bozeman is known as America’s Most Liveable City with the world famous Museum of the Rockies, home to Jurassic Park dinosaurs! If your arrival is before 3 PM you will transfer directly to Yellowstone’s North Entrance. For later flight arrivals your first night will be in Bozeman- we do not want to risk your safety as hundreds of elk, deer, and bison cross the major highways.
Day 02 You will depart at day break to search for wolves, bison, elk, golden or bald eagles, and much more. On this day you will visit the single most famous place in all of North America for wildlife: the Lamar Valley- known as America’s Serengeti. Please be sure to have extra batteries for your camera! It is common for guests to take over 1,000 pictures during the next two days!
On day 2 the focus will be on wildlife. Your tour will return to Gardiner in the late afternoon.
Day 03 Again you will depart at day break for one more chance to view America’s wildlife. We will visit the same areas, but each day is different as the animals’ behavior changes. In the afternoon a visit to the spectacular terraces of Mammoth Hot Springs will be included. And if you desire a dip in Boiling River can be included- please prepare your swimsuit, towel, closed sandals, and robe. (Open beach sandals that do not strap to your feet are difficult to use.)
Day 04 Your guide will meet you in the early morning to take you to Bozeman. Per your flight departure time there might be a chance to visit the Museum of the Rockies or shopping time in historic downtown Bozeman.
If your flight time is before 12 noon then the night of Day 03 will be spent in Bozeman and you will depart Yellowstone for Bozeman in the late afternoon of Day 03 to arrive in Bozeman before dark.

$ 995/ person for 2-4 adults, minimum 2 people. Children under the age of 18 are 50% off utilizing the same room and bedding with 2 adults. Maximum 4 people per room. Single room supplement is $250.
This includes the following:
A. Three nights lodging, B class hotel in Gardiner or Bozeman.
B. 4 days services of a private National Park Service Licensed guide.
C. All transportation from Bozeman airport roundtrip and during the tour.
D. Two field breakfasts and field snacks and drinks
E. Use of high quality spotting scopes and binoculars
F. All other necessary field gear.

Not included:
